When astronauts relax at the end of a hard day, they like a sweet treat! This freeze-dried ice cream sandwich is part dessert and part science experiment. The whole sandwich was frozen at -40 degrees Fahrenheit and then vacuum dried. Note that this scientific process does introduce cracks and crumbles in each product, none are perfect.
