We love squirrels so much that we've created an entire line of squirrel-related items. Atlas Obscura recently posted a fascinating article about the history of squirrel mania the people who love squirrels so much that they do things like buy tiny Squirrel Underpants for them and Squirrel in Underpants Air Fresheners for themselves:
They also belong to the international Squirrel Lover’s Club:
Some people refer to squirrels as tree-rats, but we think of them as secret urban unicorns. Squirrelicorns! While the Squirrelicorn is just as magical as its fully equine unicorn comrades, they are a little less rare. You just need to know how to attract them.
To lure a Squirrelicorn out of hiding simply fill a Unicorn Squirrel Feeder with peanuts (and some peanut butter if you’re feeling extra generous) and hang it up within squirrelly reach. Give them a little time to comprehend their
hunger magical potential and, before you know it, your once ordinary squirrels will become awesome Squirrelicorns:
Now we know what you’re wondering: Can two creatures as magical as these be friends? Members of our Bigfoot Research Team are currently taking time away from their search for the elusive Sasquatch to observe Squirrelicorn and Squorse behavior. Legend has it they meet for nutmeat feasts and dance-offs.
If you want to help solve this mystery (or just want to laugh at squirrels looking ridiculous), visit our squirrel shop so you can set up your own Unicorn Squirrel Feeder and Horse Head Squirrel Feeder.
Let us know if you capture photos or footage of squirrelly shenanigans!
BBC Springwatch recently shared this awesome video of a grey squirrel using one of our Horse Head Squirrel Feeders. He’s determined to retrieve a tasty treat from inside the feeder, but in the meantime he looks like a horse-squirrel hybrid who’s possibly had one too many hazelnut daiquiris.
To watch squirrel shenanigans like this from the comfort of your own home simply order a Horse Head Squirrel Feeder, or Big Head Squirrel Feeder, fill it with nuts, and hang it up in your yard. The squirrels will take care of the rest.[via BBC Springwatch]
The owner of Archie McPhee, Mark Pahlow, did an interview about his favorite things in Seattle for Where Seattle magazine. (Including his top shopping spot: the awesome Nevertold Casket Company.) Mark also took them on a walking tour of the International District with a visit to the Uwajimaya’s gallery/meat case.
We're going to be at Seattle's Emerald City Comicon! We'll be there all three days, from Friday March 27th through Sunday March 29th. Stop by our booth (1206), get some stickers and say howdy! You might even meet a centaur... Or become a centaur! Insane!
See you there!
Why yes, these are photos of President Obama shaking hands with someone wearing one of our Horse Head Masks. This awesomely surreal moment occurred on Tuesday night, July 8, 2014, as the President was greeting people along the streets of downtown Denver, CO.
Proving once again that there's no telling where our Horse Head Mask might show up next, the photo above was taken by Jewel Samad and the one below by New York Times photographer Doug Mills.
Of course, it didn't take long for The Internets to react in hilarious fashion, which is how we arrive at this amazing third photo.:

Shana, our one and only High Priestess of Rubber Chickens, recently made an appearance on King 5's New Day Northwest. On April Fools' Day, while sporting a massive pair of Man Hands, Shana showed Margaret Larsen and the studio audience a selection of products that make great pranks on a day devoted to mischief.
It's a delightful demonstration of some of our favorite new items and classic tricks:
Kim Holcomb of King 5's Evening Magazine paid a visit to the Archie McPhee store on April Fools' Day where Shana, our one and only High Priestess of Rubber Chickens, hosted a game of "Real or Not" to see if viewers could guess which of our products are real and which are April Fools' Day pranks.
Watch the video and take the quiz to test your Archie McPhee savvy:
